The search for the mysterious $150 million Powerball winner continues.

The search for last night's mysterious winner of the enormous $150 million Powerball jackpot continues this morning, with officials declaring him the largest lottery winner in Australian history.

A single ticket purchased in South Australia won the division one prize pool, however the recipient has yet to claim their prize, hours after the much anticipated draw. The winning numbers included 18, 29, 34, 8, 4, 28, and 6 with a Powerball of 11.

The Lott stated that a single person purchased the ticket but did not register it to a player card or online account, leaving officials with little choice except to wait for them to come forward.

A lottery spokesman stated that the winning ticket was acquired from an Adelaide retailer.

The $150 million prize is matched for the third largest prize ever awarded by the lottery game, however the most lucrative drawings were won by several winners or syndicates.

Khat Intrachai, Lott spokesperson, urged everyone who lived in South Africa or purchased a lottery ticket there to double-check their numbers.

"Someone has become Australia's biggest individual lottery winner and possibly doesn't know it yet," she stated. "Can you imagine unwittingly walking around with a ticket worth $150 million?"

Matt Hart, a Lott spokeswoman, stated that there had only been five draws with a jackpot of $150 million or more.

"If just one person takes home this $150 million prize on Thursday night, they'll make history by becoming the nation's biggest-ever individual lottery winner," he stated before to the draw.

"The last time Powerball offered a $150 million prize was in January this year when the peak of sales was at 6.15 pm on the day of the draw when 7455 tickets were sold in a single minute."

While The Lottery promptly confirmed that there was just one winning ticket tonight, it was unclear whether it belonged to an individual or a syndicate.

According to statisticians, the chances of being struck by lightning are greater than the chances of winning the big prize, but millions were willing to take the risk.

The Lottery stated that winners have a year to collect their prize in South Africa before a process to claim directly from the state government began.
