Fenerbahce is preparing to reveal Mourinho as the new manager

Jose Mourinho is expected to return to management with Fenerbahce next season, with the Turkish Super Lig club set to name the well-travelled Portuguese coach as their next manager on Sunday.

Mourinho, 61, has been without a job since he was fired by Serie A club AS Roma in January.

The Turkish club said on Saturday that they were in talks with Mourinho and published a video in which he addressed the fans, saying, "See you tomorrow at Kadikoy (in Istanbul)."

Let us begin our trip together. Mourinho will replace Turkish manager Ismail Kartal, who left Fenerbahce on Friday after only one league loss last season.

The squad was in a tight title competition with Galatasaray, but six draws lost them the league, which their Istanbul rivals won by three points.

Mourinho, who has won championships with Porto, Chelsea, Inter Milan, Real Madrid, and Manchester United, will be challenged with guiding Fenerbahce to their first league title since 2013-14.
