CHROME MUSIC LAB

Chrome Music Lab: What is it? Through engaging, practical activities, the website Chrome Music Lab aims to increase accessibility to music education.

What uses is it suitable for? In order to investigate music and its relationships to science, math, art, and other subjects, many educators have begun utilising Chrome Music Lab in their classes.

They have been fusing it with live instruments and dancing. These are a few applications that we discovered on Twitter. Can I create my own music with it? Indeed.

Try out the Song Maker experiment, which allows you to compose, record, and share original music.

Does creating an account require me? Nope. Simply launch any experiment and get involved.

How were these constructed? WebMIDI, Web Audio API, Tone.js, and other open-source web technologies are used in all of our research.

Coders now have an easier time creating new interactive music experiences with these tools. Many of these experiments have open-source code available on Github.

On what devices are they compatible? Simply load the website in a web browser like Chrome to engage with these experiments on phones, tablets, and desktops.

What will Chrome Music Lab do next? The inventive and surprising ways in which people apply these experiments constantly fascinate us.
